Our two websites use separate Cookiebot consent systems. Your choice on one site will not automatically apply to the other, so you may be asked to choose again when moving between them.

French & Day Delicatessen is the trading name of French & Day Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 12790059. Our registered office and shop are at 55 High Street, Ware, Hertfordshire, SG12 9BA.

2. THE WEBSITES COVERED BY THIS POLICY

This policy covers:


  • our main website at www.frenchandday.co.uk, hosted by 123 Reg and built using Duda technology; and
  • our online shop at shop.frenchandday.co.uk, provided by Square Online.


The websites are connected, but their hosting and cookie controls are separate. Other websites reached through links from our pages have their own privacy and cookie arrangements.


3. WHAT COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES ARE

5. SERVICES USED ON OUR MAIN WEBSITE

The main website currently uses the following services:


Cookiebot

Cookiebot displays the consent banner, stores your choices and blocks optional technologies until the relevant consent is given.


123 Reg and Duda

These services host and operate the website. Necessary technologies support delivery, security and basic site functions. Duda technologies used for website statistics are held back until statistics consent is given.


Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager manages selected website tags. It can load before a choice is made, but our configuration sets optional Google consent signals to denied by default. It does not itself override your Cookiebot choice.


Google Analytics

Google Analytics helps us understand website traffic and use. It operates only when you allow statistics cookies.


Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity helps us understand how visitors use and move around the website so that we can improve it. It operates only when you allow statistics cookies.


Meta Pixel

Meta Pixel helps us measure activity connected with Facebook and Instagram advertising and may support the delivery of relevant adverts. It operates only when you allow marketing cookies.


Mailchimp connected site

Mailchimp technology helps us understand activity connected with our email marketing and website. It operates only when you allow marketing cookies.


Google advertising technology

Google advertising technology may measure activity connected with our adverts and help improve their relevance or effectiveness. It operates only when you allow marketing cookies.


6. SERVICES USED ON OUR ONLINE SHOP

Square controls much of the technology used by the online shop. Its Cookiebot banner provides the current detailed declaration and lets you allow all cookies, use necessary cookies only or choose categories.


The shop currently uses services including:

  • Square and Square Online technologies needed to display products, operate the basket and checkout, process orders, keep the service secure, and remember consent choices;
  • Cookiebot to provide the consent controls and record your choices;
  • Cloudflare and related security or delivery technologies;
  • Google Analytics and Square or Snowplow analytics, where statistics consent is given; and
  • Meta Pixel, where marketing consent is given.


Square may change the technologies used to provide or secure the shop. The Cookiebot declaration within the shop is the most current source for the individual technologies detected there.


7. CHOOSING AND CHANGING YOUR SETTINGS

When you first visit either website, Cookiebot asks whether you want to allow all optional categories, allow a selection, or deny optional cookies. Optional categories are off unless you choose to enable them. Necessary cookies do not require consent.


You can reopen Cookie Settings on each website to review or change your choice. A changed choice applies to future use of optional technologies on that website. Because the websites use separate consent systems, please change the setting on both sites if you want the same choice to apply across them.


You can also delete cookies or block them through your browser. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the websites or online shop from working properly. Browser controls do not necessarily remove other forms of browser storage, so the Cookiebot settings are the clearest way to control the optional technologies we use.


8. THIRD PARTIES AND INFORMATION TRANSFERS

Some providers process information collected through cookies on our behalf. Others may act as separate controllers for their own services. Information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where French & Day is responsible for a transfer, we use an appropriate legal safeguard. Providers may also use safeguards described in their own privacy information.

9. CURRENT COOKIE DETAILS

Cookie technology changes more frequently than this policy. For the current list of individual cookies and similar technologies, open Cookie Settings on the relevant website and select Show details or Details. The declaration identifies the provider, purpose, type and maximum storage duration recorded by Cookiebot.


We review the declarations and our consent configuration periodically. If we introduce a materially different use of cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent again.
